12.5KW Perkins genny fuel return line - Rick - 06-20-2010 02:38

I have a 1980 FC35 with the 12.5KW Perkins genny. The fuel return line has a
crack in it. This is the line going across the top of all four injectors and is
attached with four banjo bolts. Does anyone have a used one for sale? Thanks in

Rick,

Rather than trying to find a used one of unknown quality, that return fuel line
should still be available from Perkins. You need to find a good Perkins dealer
and give them the engine spec number and serial number.

The hard part is usually finding a local Perkins dealer. When I had my 83 PT40,
I had found a good one here in San Antonio. Go to
http://www.perkins.com/northamerica to start the search in your state.

Happy hunting.

My sentiments exactly. I looked at it and repairing it would be hard since it is so small. If there was one used it would have turned up by now. I ordered it yesterday from a Perkins supply house in Massilon, Ohio. It had been leaking forever. Now I have to get the injectors popped off to see which one is not working too well. I can hear a cylinder dropping out of sequence every so often. I have a turbocharger from a 1.9 litre VW industrial engine to put on it. It looks like no mods to the engine just reroute a few things and hoping it will absorb some noise having to turn the spool. Rick in Ohio
