our water leak - Jana Ewart - 10-03-2009 13:55

Well, we think we have it licked!  Jim and Barbara came through yesterday on their way to Gillette.  Jim's hearing is better than ours, and he was able to find the water pump that we couldn't find hiding under a drawer -- and the leak was coming from a broken filter to the water pump.  So today, Mike got that fixed!--yes!  What a good feeling to believe we have the water under control now.  Bluebird sure liked to hide stuff. . . .

A great big thanks to Jim out of Ft. Pierre SD!

our water leak - GARY MINKER - 10-05-2009 08:36

Of all the silly places that I have leaked seemingly thousands of gallons of water all over my floor,,,,, the water inlet connection from the outside was one of the culprits. The fabricated metal box that the fitting lives in was installed with the seams downward and when the hose connection leaked, it did so right in to the wall of the bus in front of the side drawers and all over the floor, drip by drip, slowly it crept where ever it wanted and just seemed to be everywhere but a new inlet, a new custom fabbed plate and a nice caulk job on that blasted little box stopped that one,,, for now

Gary - I had the same leak on mine. The inlet on my 85 PT40 just didn't seem to fit right and it leaked. It took me a couple of tries to get it fixed properly. So far, so good.

our water leak - altierb@... - 10-05-2009 13:37

Gary,
I had the same problem with a drip and it ran down the slot where the lock fits. I corrected this using a half gallon milk jug, I cut it so I could run the hose through the top and the bottom extended past the end of the water connection box. If it drips it goes outside. Just roll it up with the hose.
