Once you have the part number you may try Northern Arizona Wind & Sun( http://search.store.yahoo.net/cgi-bin/nsearch?catalog=wind-sun&query=thin%20lite%20ballast&vwcatalog=wind-sun&.autodone=http://store.solar-electric.com/), I was successful finding the ballast I needed with them, quick service, although the price may not be the best you can do.

You can take them out of the container that will gain some space or remote the
ballast

Tried that Steve but they are still 3/16" too tall.
