ANNUAL BLUEBIRD QUARTZSITE RALLY : Latest news: 800 BB's attending - iwander_85pt40 - 01-06-2009 05:13

Hi all,

Our "Point Man" in Quartzsite, Harold Prescott, sent this report about
our upcoming Quartzsite Rally, Jan. 17-25, 2009.

He has other campers visiting him and asking if the Bluebird Rally is
coming, so people are anticipating our return.

The BIG news from our "Point Man", though: The word is out that there
are supposed to be 800 Bluebirds parked in the 2009 bird's nest. Yep,
800 Bluebirds.

Now, Curt and I don't mind 800 Bluebirds, but we would like all of
them to register with us so we know who to expect. So far, we only
have 70 or so who have sent their rally registration information.

Seriously, if you are planning to attend, or just want to read the
latest about what will be happening: VISIT OUR QUARTZSITE HOMEPAGE:

http://www.southwest-bluebirds.org/annual_quartzsite_rally/

There is list of attendees page posted so you can see who's coming.

Those who make last minute decisions to attend can register when they
arrive. We had several BB owners who simply showed up in 2008 and
that is fine with us. We welcome any and all Bluebird owners to our
rallies.

Whether 70 or 800, it's going to be quite a party, and if you're not
there, you're missing out.

PS: Maybe it's supposed to be 800 migrating Blue birds flying in to
join us :-) :-)

This reminds me of a past life experience.

A long time ago I went to the outdoor festival. 10,000 or so were scheduled to
attend....
over 500,000 showed up.... we had a good time, but it was pretty messy and a
little
scary with lack of basic provisions and facilities. A lot of people showed up
unprepared.

Perhaps this is less of an issue with the Birds as they are pretty
self-contained. Thanks
for the heads up!.... Looking forward to seeing you all.

800 Wow... Where did that number come from?

Tim,

Get your songbook in order.

I'm putting you on the "Schedule of Events" to accompany Pat Kirchner
when she plays her keyboard. :-) :-)

ANNUAL BLUEBIRD QUARTZSITE RALLY : Latest news: 800 BB's attending - Harold Prescott - 01-07-2009 02:42

This good information came from the laundromat. A lady said 800 Blue
Birds coming to this years rally. We looked at her and
ask, "800?" Her reply was, "maybe it was a-hundred Blue Birds".

LMAO!!
