engine noise - bubblerboy64 - 10-23-2008 05:59 Here is an odd question for you FC owners. I have noticed (I think) that the engine in my bus seems to be a little louder from time to time. I've tried to see if I could determine a particular time or situation which causes this and have not been able to do so. Obviously the harder you push the engine the more sound you get. I am talking about the sound just at idle. Perhaps this is all in my head but I was riding a friend around and he noticed at one point and commented that he thought the engine sounded louder. As stated can't localize to conditions. His comment prompted me to ask if other have experience this. Very soon I realized that it was the radiator fan cycling, even at idle.

engine noise - Rob Robinson - 10-23-2008 06:07 John just a guess but would the increased sound coincide with the fan cycling on and off? 2008/10/23 bubblerboy64 <"jehdds@hotmail.com">

Learning all the time. The engine just sounds louder at times. I am always happy when my engine makes a sound! so much better than it not making a sound! Jim Riordan 88 WBWL XXV Stuart, Fl bubblerboy64
engine noise - bubblerboy64 - 10-23-2008 08:02 If there is a fan overide switch that would be news to me. Remember this old girl was a gasser and converted to 3208 NA. Maybe it doesn't have a fan clutch? I'll have to check into this. The bus never seems to run hot and so I don't know if the fan has ever come on, or it may cycle and I don't hear it? Like I said, learning all the time.
