Bird Hunting - gregorylynnhaag - 09-08-2007 02:02

Hello to all, I am new to the Wanderlodge Forum. I have sold a 1992 Beaver
Prevost and I am
looking to purchase a Wanderlodge and I was hoping to get some guidance. Based
on what I
have read so far here is what I think I am looking for, an LXI 1998-2001 with a
series 60
engine. First, does anyone have any suggestions. Second, what should I expect
to pay.
Thanks in advance.

Bird Hunting - mbulriss - 09-08-2007 05:49

Gregory,

Welcome to the forum also! I didn't realize Beaver did Prevost
conversions back then. Must have been nice.

The LXi is a real nice unit and the 60 series is very well regarded.
The Bird Connection may be one of the best places to gauge current
asking prices. If you have not been to that site yet, it is a listing
site just for Bluebird Wanderlodges at http://www.birdconnection.com/
and there might even be one or two listed at http://www.vintagebirds.com
which is a great site to learn about Birds.

Good luck on your hunt. They are wonderful machines.

Mike,
Thanks for the welcome. The beaver was a very nice conversion with lots of
wood, I have
had some second thougths after selling. I had planned on buying a newer Prevost
with a
60 series engine but as I began to read about the Blue Bird and their
construction it seems
to be a better fit for my family. Thanks for the sites.

I believe that Randy Dupree may have just what you are looking for, on
his web site. The newest 'Bird that he has listed, that was just added
this morning, is in almost new condition and very well maintained,

Randy's listing is for a 97 WB. This buyer is looking for a LXi,
which started in 1998.

Can someone point me in a direction that will tell about the other models; i.e.
wb, M380.
ect.. They may or may not be good options, I am not familiar with them.
Someone
contacted me about a 2004 M380, is something I should consider. Any help would
be
greatly appreciated, feeling a bit lost.
Thanks
Greg

Hi Greg,

Welcome to the list. There's a good description of the various
Wanderlodge models in message no: 14278.
There's also good info on all the Wanderlodge models at:

Greg,

Here's another link I had forgotten about. It's the listing of For
Sale By Owners at the Blue-bird site. It's still up and active during
the transition and I expect many of those Birds are still for sale.
