Camera trigger - front overhead solenoid - amweath - 09-07-2007 02:54

Still trying to get my backup camera operating. I've had the camera
tested - it works. The coax is good from between the camera and the
monitor chassis. The monitor is working. The camera gets power when
the monitor is turned on. Still no backup camera when ignition is
turned on.

A lead in the front overhead is labled "camera trigger". This circuit
breaker is enabled w/the ignition. Does anyone know where this lead
goes or what it actually does?

The soleniod in there stays up when the ignition is turned off. It
should release. After much testing I suspect a bad solenoid. Where
can I get a replacement?

You can get one at most napa stores or truck parts store.
