Indian silver paint code - williamcharrison - 06-25-2007 02:31

I recently purchased 3 colors of Dupont paint to touch up the bird
and 2 were perfect but what they gave me as Indian silver is way off.
does anybody know what the real Dupont number is or can you suggest
another manufacturer and paint code?

Maybe this will help.

My "Wanderlodge Quick Reference Parts Catalog" covers paint codes for
years 1963 through 1986. The 1986 "Indian Silver Metallic" Dupont number
is N8075U.

What are your paint codes on the paint code tag. Mine is on the rear frame in
the engine bay. My paint is BASF R-M Diamont. 79773 is my paint code for Indian
Silver Metallic, base coat clear coat. It is a perfect match. I painted my
trailer in Imron with what I was told was Frito Lay fleet silver (threw the can
away and cannot find the number) and is a close match, not perfect.
