Brake lights - williamcharrison - 05-14-2007 03:46

Lately I have had a problem with low engine battery charge level
(new last year). When I let the coach sit for 5 - 6 days I have
to jump start it. Yesterday I was working on it and another
gent came by to tell me that he had noticed my brake lights were
on at night. When I leave the coach I always turn off the A/C
switch on the dash and the switch in the overhead above the couch.
How, other than disconnecting the batteries, can I avoid this problem?

Chuck:

One or both of the air switches to the breaks lights may be sticking and
need to be replaced. They are a common part available at any truck parts
house. They screw into the break pedal air valve, though some are mounted
remotely in the drivers front compartment.

I had two cut off switches put on two posts and turn them off while sitting.
Have kept my batteries from being drained ever since. Maury 80fc 31'
