Radiator site glass - Alan - 04-12-2007 03:54

The site glass on my 87FC35 is leaking slightly. I assume that thing
screws out and has a rubber gasket behind it..?? I tried putting a
rag around it and turning it with a wrench, but I was afraid of
breaking it.

How do these things work and what would I need to do to stop it from
dripping?

Thanks all,
Alan Johnson

Hey Alan, sorry I can't help answer your question. Where is the sight
glass is located? I have an 84FC and I'm trying to find out where the
radiator overflow tube goes to?

Keith,

The overflow hose goes through a couple of brackets on the driver's
side of the radiator and then points at the ground.

Thanks David. That's what I suspected. I just want to make sure I
don't overlook anything and have to deal with it later....

Yes, there is a gasket between the site glass on the radiator, and it
dose squire out. If you brake the glass, any large truck dealer will
have this part, 25 dollars?
