Bird of Week Updated - mbulriss - 01-12-2007 08:30

OK, Bird of the Week has been updated. Have a couple more weeks
ahead, but can always use more... hint, hint.

Check out the great travel shot on the front page from Rose Mary
Smith. As she put it in her note, she and her Mom have been on the
road since before Thanksgiving and were in Quartzsite waiting for the
rally to begin. She noted that her "JP's White Bird" now has a
simple graphic that they had painted on while at Rocky Point, Mex.
instead of being solid white. Maybe 'simple' to her, but it's
eye-catching to me.

As always keep sending those travel pics in for Bird of the Week. I
am only two weeks ahead right now.

I was wondering what Rose Mary's coach looked like. Great looking
coach, Rose mary. I would submit my coach of the week for the home
page, but I wish to forget where I have been for 2 days. Ernie-83PT40

Great picture Rose Mary! That bus looks even better after the
Quartszite Rally, since she and most every bus there had their rims
polished by a fella charging $10 a wheel. It was great meeting these
ladies. Everyone admires an adventurer as these two truly are.

As much as I hated to take down Rose Mary Smith's wonderful travel
picture from Quartzsite, I have updated the Bird of the Week with
another unique travel photo showing the type of adventure enjoyed by
many members on the Forum.

Send in your pictures if you want your Bird featured as Bird of the
Week. Use the link on the front page to submit.

Thanks,

Being nautically minded I noticed that the marine signal flags outside
of Leroys'coach send out the message "running out of beer please send
more, still have three days to go"

Well, as much as I hated to take that pretty green Bird with the
rainbow off the front page, Bird of the Week has been updated for the
week again. I have one week pending, so keep sending those pictures
in! Remember you can see prior Bird of the Weeks in the Photos albumn
on the forum.

Thanks,

Regardless of your politics, in a sheer coincidence of timing, this
week we feature a travel picture of a Bird in a remote location that
was "discovered" by the public after being showcased by Lady Bird
Johnson, who led multiple media tours out to the site while she was
First Lady. Somehow the timing just seems appropriate.

I have received several fine pictures that are pending, but please
keep those pictures coming in.

Thanks,
