"Serendipity" - was Re: 3208 boost - mbulriss - 08-23-2006 01:18 Jim, Welcome to a newbie. The coach name "Serendipity" - is that Roland and Janice Condon's old coach? If so, you got a nice one. I love the bus and they did a lot of work to it. It is in great shape and just about everything works great. I just wished it had a drive line retarder and more power, cuz I do a lot of traveling in the mountains. Because of its shape and looks I am concidering going all the way with a retarder and 250 hp turbo. Just trying to justifiy spending the money. Thanks for the post and would appreciate your input. I don't know about the re-power and retarder option(s) unless you intend to keep it forever, because you'll be seriously upside down in it then. If the hills are really a significant problem, I might lean toward Greg's blunt suggestion of the For Sale sign and upgrade to a stronger Bird and let some "flat lander" get the chance to get a great "starter" Bird now that you have enjoyed your learning experience. I know it's easy for us to say when you have only enjoyed it for a few months. FWIW, YMMV, etc.....
