80FC33 sending unit at oil filters. - ernesttumbleston - 04-18-2005 06:20

On my 80 3208 cat, there is a sending unit of some sort at the two
filters next to the oil pan. Looks like an epoxy glob repair was done
in the past and it's leaking. Can anyone tell me what it is and maybe
a part number so I can get one for the next time I let the Bird out of
the cage?
Muchly appreciated,

Oil pressure sender, call BB and they should be able to set you up.

I don't know the correct part number, but it has to match the
teleflex gauge, I believe that the '80 has the 1-100psi gauge, best
of luck.

Todd,

I had to replace one of those on a 'Bird that I delivered to Mark
Loran in BC, Canada last year. The part number went with the bill to
Mark, but it was purchased from NAPA by the repair facility. If you
look at the hexigon base of the filter where you put your wrench on
to remove it, the pressure shoud be stamped on there, or somewhere on
the sending unit, then take it to NAPA and they should be able to
match it for you. You will have to know what pressure your gage is
also.
