A friend driving a SOB (Airstream) wants a musical horn. Could anyone advise me
of a contact number, better yet is there a dealer on this site.

I've got a musical horn that I bought for the partybus that we
have leftover. It's a COGA, 20 watt, and it has about 80 sounds,
including songs, animal noises, horns, etc, etc. It's also acts as a
PA with a handheld mike like a CB. It hasn't even been used and
comes with all the connections and instruction manual. It's a small
black PA horn and it can mount pretty much anywhere with a 12V
connection. I paid $100 for it but will sell it for $60 plus
shipping from Western NC if you want it.

LT,

FYI, the original Wanderlodge musical horns came from PMMI
Electronics. Their website is http://www.theUltimateHorn.com and email is
sales@... for info. I feel sure that they are a lot
more than the one Steve has for sale.

musical horn - Rose Mary - 04-02-2006 06:53

Hi all,
just returned home from a get away down the Oregon coast and to the
Redwoods.
The 'White Bird' turned in another flawless trip for us....altho for
some reason the horn only gave us 2 uses. Any ideas where to start
looking?

I took out the generator door again, drat! (Didn't clear a curb) Why
is it so low to the ground! This happened after I had manuevered some
tricky spots at campgrounds just fine, guess I was careless on that
turn into a mall lot where my 10 year old grandson wanted to stop at
a dollar store. This time it didn't damage the genset radiator and
other than looking bad, caused no problems. Time to have a new door
made...

On the earlier post a couple weeks ago on the genset tripping off, it
was the voltage regulator (a spendy little part...$294) but took care
of the problem.

We stayed on or near the beach the entire trip and my 85 year old
mother would often beat us to the beach in the morning to pick up
shells & rocks. She loves the bird and traveling now. (Wish she would
walk that much at home....)

She did have a mishap while I was driving the 101 where there were
many places where the pavement had dropped 3-4 inches or more...she
had used the head and apparently lost her balance and ended up
headfirst down the stairwell....thank goodness the door held or she
likely would have been killed. We were coming into Gold Beach and I
took her to the emergency room where they stitched up her ear. (bled
like a stuck pig!) The sharp edges on the screen door slide latch is
where the side of her head hit first. She was a good sport and didn't
want to forego the rest of our trip.

Didn't see another bird the whole trip but sure got some comments at
campgrounds on ours.

The thumb wheel on my horn has developed a short. Does anyone have
a spare or one that they are not using. I will trade mine so that
there is no hole left in the dash.

Hey Steve, I just spoke with the guys at PMMI about some other issues
and mentioned you problem. They said the wheel was a common part easy
to find. He also said that the wiring is a ribbon wire with tiny wires
soldered into a wiring harness. He said sometimes when working around
it some of the wires get loose and cause the horn to play crazy songs.
There were very helpful..nice guy.

Have you tried following the ribbon cable from the selection switches to the
musical horn brain box? Mine is located behind the curbside front access
panel (the compartment/panel that secures passengers windshield wiper).
