Does anyone know of a coversion or where to get LED lights for my bus?
What about Clearance lights?

If you look at the burgundy/gold coach on http://www.wanderlodge.net you will
see Maxxima clearance lights and bezels, same mounting holes and single-
wire hookup, slightly smaller so your stripes will show the old
footprint, ... Maxxima side-repeaters (same mounting as the late '83
up), Maxxima front park/turn lights (old turnsignal holes welded shut,
slight modification on parking light holes), and the LED tail-lamps are
from a BB bus dealer. On the rear ones, the upper and lower are now
used as tail-lamps, originally the upper were turn-signal only. I
preferred to have them all come on.

Stephen, I have a 95 WLWB42. which would be nice with LED'S. What changes would
I have to make other than the bulbs. In short, is it a simple matter for the
non-mechinical inclined.

Wallace, the lED bulbs dont do a good job in the Volvo Tail light
assemblies (I tried). Led's will not glow dimm nor will they light up
unless a treshold of voltage is meet. If your voltage is low to begin
with, a toad-load may reduce you to darkness. The screw in LED's
shine in a bright dot and do not fill the lenz assemblie with light.
To Note: even covered with a red lenz, a white led produce a white
light.

Kevin&PamMac have the perfect LED ride. Kevin has a classic rearend
and his coach does not have Volvo assemblies. The LED's look good
and dont change the classic lines of their bus.

CurtS built a relay board for my 94 Volvo tail F bulbs. I can now
use the F bulb tails to land aircraft. One problem with my dimm
Volvo's turned out to be the small pin connectors at the lenz. A two
wire switch of 24 connections improved illumination 100%. Members
with Volvo Butts should check combined functions at pretrip. (Brake
lights would go out when turnsignals came on).

I think LED tails are safer. The frequency of usage on the road is
making the F bulb stop lights 'un alertable'. I would like to install
a thin LED stop strip (caddy) between my Volvo cheeks.

Wallace,

You can build the same board as Greg has and you will have BRIGHT
taillights too. You will also have two sets of lights, the upper and the
lower. If one goes out the other still works. It was an overkill thing,
but that is me. I can send you pictures of the board if you like.

Curt, many, many thanks but I am still working on how to operate our electric
can opener and probably should not try for overkill at this time. Have a great
Christmas. Wallace & Faye
