Electric Locks - ernie ekberg - 10-12-2013 09:31

Found out from Bim, that my coach is equipped with electric locks. I just didn't have the FOBs for it. I found some paperwork in the black box that was about that system. I contacted them and now have 2 new FOBs. Ain't technology swell?

Do they set the alarm and unlock the bay doors, too? I have Black Widow alarm on the 450 that locks the door, bays and sets the alarm. I have not firgured out the button sequence to unlock doors AND bays together. Good find, Ernie.

they lock door and bay together. I believe the alarm is set, but didn't want to wake my neighbors this am

My alarm switch is behine the small door under the dash (under camera monitor). I keep it off all the time, since the day it went crazy and I couldn't reset it.

Hummm, I have a small "square" sealed 1 button FOB that I got with the bird, when I tried it several years ago it set the alarm, I wonder if it also locked and unlocked the doors..............????? Is that what you have for a FOB Ernie?

The one button fob is for the Alarm only. You have to add another box to the Ford lock system to have a key fob to work on the 97.

Does anybody know if the second box (the locking box) is available? Maybe I just need to duplicate the body module from my F250. Auto start, auto lock, key fob in the head of the key. That would be slick!
