Potential vBulletin Exploit - travelite - 09-14-2013 12:18

Folks,

Here's a short read that describes the problem and workarounds for the recent security flaw identified in vBulletin versions: 4.1+ and 5+.

Wanderlodge Gurus is based on MyBB not vBulletin; hence, this security concern doesn't affect the security of your passwords on this forum.

Faulty security implementations such as this highlight the wisdom of using a different/unique password for every site on which you hold an account.

David,
Many thanks for the heads up!!!!!! Agree with the above 100% and practice it religiosity......... it is a VERY GOOD practice given we all belong to so many various "interest" forums like chevy SSR's, automobile and other bus/RV forums, social media , email, and photo sharing sites etc....... Hackers have a field day with all of it if you have a one password fits all strategy and they hack your password!Angel Also, I would add a suggestion to make a password a "complex" password combining numbers, letters, upper &lower cases, "special symbols" like @#$%^&, etc......... at least 8-15 positions long..............Nothing is fool proof BUT you can always make it more of a challenge for them, they ALWAYS go after the low hanging fruit first so hang a little higher on the tree! :-)........but watch out for the birds!!!! TeeHee!
