Hi all you helpful folks,
I just went through the experience of repairing my front Intertherm
a/c unit (90 SP36). I found the original GE motor at Baumgardner &
sons in Clev., Ohio and replacement squirrelcage fans (alum. not
plastic)through the same company. I ordered them on the internet and
it took 2 days to get here and 2 hours to fix it.
I know this is not a "show stopper" but my turbo boost indicator
does not work and I suspect a problem at the engine end. Ques. is
where is the connection located on the engine and how do you raise the
bed to access the top of the engine.

Thanks for putting up with this rookie.

williamcharrison,

That was good information on where you got the Intertherm a/c parts.
Can I ask you to add the contact information on Baumgardner & sons,
part numbers, cost, etc. to the "Parts" Database? You can create an
entry for Intertherm air conditioner parts. If you are not
comfortable making that change to the database, send the information
to me and I will add it to the Parts Database.
Also, please sign your posts so we know if you want to be addressed as
Bill or William.

Thanks,
Mike Bulriss

My turbo boost guage line is on top of the engine and it is very thin
tubing. When my turbo boost guage stopped working I got to it easily
by way of the access below the bed. Like Dennis, I found a small hole
in the tubing near the fitting that connects the tubing to the engine.
There was enough slack in the tubing for me to cut off the damaged
portion and reconnect it. Look for thin tubing near the top of the
engine connected with a compression fitting. Good luck.
