Two of my favorite things...

İmage
Mine too Steve! Very nice. Tell me about that 930. What year? How long have you owned it? What's it's history? I may be in the market. I sold my 993 non-turbo when I left California and I'm itching for an air-cooled 911 again! Thanks, David

BTW, would you mind if I put it in a Gallery album so it shows up on our index page?
Looking at Steve's photo above, I did not realize the front axle set back from the driver's seat was so much on an FC. The wheel base is extremely short for that length chassis. The turn radius must be excellent.

Maybe it's a optical illusion but the Porche appears to be almost as long as the FC's wheelbase??
that is why, under the rear of fcs- are twin rollers mounted on the frame because of rear end drag

No kidding! It is like if Frank LLoyd Wright designed the All-American chassis Big Grin

Chuck it does have a pretty good turning radius. Was handy when trying to get lined up with propane filler in small parking lot the other day.

David these 930s are a lot of fun, and like the Cat 3208, the fuel injection is mechanical...not a computer in the car. This is an 86, which recently dyno'd at 320hp at rear wheels, but I highly recommend the 1989, last year for this body and only year a 5 speed was offered. Get one soon as prices have been creeping up.
Thanks for the tip Steve, a '89 it is! You're right about the prices.
