Folks,

I worked with Dynamic Rubber Inc to design a new slide seal for our
buses. http://www.dynamicrubber.com/contact.html

We should have 1000' of extrusion in 4 weeks, with the first seals
available in 5 weeks. A prototype seal has already been tested and has
performed flawlessly, sealing the entire air gap around the slide with
no buckling in the corners.

The seals are made of 8 sections: 4 molded corners and 4 straight
sections. The LXi living room seal is priced at $550. Pricing for the
bedroom seals and for the LX seals will be forthcoming.

The seals require the HWH nylon retainer. Initially we'll need to
purchase the retainer from HWH. In the meantime I'll work on finding a
supplier. It is possible to reuse the existing retainer.

Roger Anderson at DRI has agreed to take retail orders - no middleman.
Your getting the seal at cost. Please contact Roger Anderson at DRI to
place orders.

Thank you Ralph. Although we've never met, I've heard many great
things about you from Ernie and others, and I often look forward to
your column in the FOF's newsletter. Happy New Year to you and your
family! Safe travels to you Sir!

Thanks Mike, I really appreciate that. My goal is a great seal at a
great price for these great birds!

Hi Tim,

No this particular seal profile will only work on the LX and LXi
living room and bedroom slides. Don't despair, I'm currently working
on an M380 design.

Here's a photo album I put together which shows the seal profile,
the nylon retainer, and the installed prototype seal.

Your contribution to the Wanderlodge community continues to and has always been generous.
Even though I currently don't have a slide it is great to know a solution is out there and we have a true professional with the skills to invent new solutions. Very few of us can do that.
Thanks!

Gary, you're too kind, stop it or my wife will never be able to live

Hi Robert,

I now have a section of the M380 OEM air seal and I plan to get
together with Jim Brookshire to take some measurements of his M380.
It'd be great to have a section of the M380 track and retainer. If
anyone has something lying around please let me know. An M380 seal
is in the works!
