Howdy.
We are realizing that there were repairs to the black water tank by previous owners of our 1993 Wanderlodge. I have found seeping where the tank makes a 90 degree corner. Repaired that. Now, there is seeping where the tank
and sewer pipe are joined and there is a hose clamp there. So I found seepage on that. So I coated it liberally with silicon caulk. SHMBO is not happy and would like to replace the present tank with one that is not so oddly shaped. Have you replaced the black water tank in your BB? A slightly smaller tank would be o.k. Comments, ideas, please?

TIA,

Jack

My experience is that Silicon Calk will
not hold. I do not know about a ’93 but on our ’83 the tanks
are fiberglass. Easy to repair with West systems products. If you
are interested I can get the numbers from the product series we used. I
have repaired three tanks and had not had any further problems. One had a
shattered flange where the drain connected, one had road damage, and one on
another coach had a leak where the tank washer was installed.

Howdy, Chuck.
Thanks for the reply. I don't think our BWT is fiberglass. I think that it is
some kind of poly-plastic.
