Anyone know of a good source out west to pick up a new or rebuilt 3208 starter?
My service sheet says the original was a Delco 1114826. I can find that starter
with a Web search, but the source is on the east coast and says it is the
starter for some kind of 3208-powered industrial equipment.

Hi Bob,
The little info I have says that part number is very common on Cat engines
I use this website a lot when I need information.
They show Caterpillar numbers to Delco numbers and a wealth of info.
I’m not certain how you source stuff, but any good truck electric should supply it,even NAPA

Hi Bob,

I'm not sure where you are located, but I had mine rebuilt last year here in
Dallas. I found the starter place that I've used for other starters could handle
the big Cat starter.

Anyway, I can look up the contact information if something here helps you.
Otherwise you might find out like I did that your local starter rebuilder can
help you out.
