I replaced the air compressor in March this year and need to replace
it again. Less than 4,000 miles on it. Oil is dripping out the bottom
of the air dryer and when underway it's spitting a good share of oil.
Are GOOD rebuilt air compressors available? New is not available.
Maybe I should rebuild it.

Curt,
I just ordered the Bendix maintenance kit for my
compressor (Tru-Flo 501) and will build it myself. I will wait to see what size rings to order when I tear it down. Theway they slam them together without alot of measuring and detail work, I'm not surprised they don't last long. Mine is also leaking too soon. I may upgrade to a 550 if I can find a core.
