Wanderlodge Gurus - The Member Funded Wanderlodge Forum

While running the generator to charge batteries one of the legs quit. I was
running both front and rear air at the time. The inverter and rear
air are on the same circuit. That is the circuit that quit. The over-
head panel AC voltmeters both read 120v. On the monitor panel in the
kitchen one meter read zero and the other read 120v.

Any ideas out there?

I disc. the two inputs to the panel and swapped them. Started the genset
and had power to both legs. I ran it for about 20 minutes. Nothing abnormal. I
am curious as to why the main voltmeters both about 130v.
Is that in range?

My generator is different than yours (a "Universal" only used in 1990, I think),
that runs at 130v no-load at 60Hz. If I set its speed down at all the voltage
will drop, but so will the Hz. Under significant load it drops to around 128v.

I've not experienced any problems except I had to set the max level for my
inverter (ProSine 2.0) to 131 or it won't kick out of inversion mode.

Use a real voltmeter and do not trust the panel mount units. If you really have 130 volts you have other issues that will cause damage to the rest of your things.

Gary, I'm reading the 130 off the digital display for the ProSine. I have tons
of expensive electronics (besides normal Blue Bird stuff) in my bus (others here
can attest!) and have never had a problem.

Yes I can attest to the fact that Don has "tons of expensive" stuff in his rig droooool. And yes he doesn't let the smoke get out of the box. He does however deplete my wallet on an annual basis (usually during and right after Quartzsite). His recommendations are killing me VBG

I was in Don's coach at Quartzite. He has 4 air conditioners going to keep all that electronic "stuff" cool. I haven't a clue what all those things are with all those lites.
