Wehave a trip planned for Yosemite next week, staying just east of Groveland.
I have been given forty eleven routes to stay away from, most referring to Hwy 49 anf Priestgrade.
Is someone with experience willing to share the best road to get to Groveland?
The last time I was there I wasn't old enough to drive,so I can't rely on my memory.

Can't help you Fred. Last time I was there, we drove through the hollowed
out tree, camped anywhere in the park, and my 2 brothers would take Dad's
beer, tie a string around the necks of the bottles and toss them in the
river so they would have an excuse to go swimming. Boy, the "OLD-Man" would
be livid for sure but enjoyed the cold beer! LOL

Safe travels,

Hi Fred. I was there about 12 years ago in my Jeep. We went out over Tioga
Pass...The only way my 'Bird could do that is by Air-Freight in a C5A :-)
Sure was a pretty ride though. Breakfast at the Awhanee hotel is not to be
missed...
(I miss the Fire-Fall...That shows my first time there long ago)!.
Have a great time
