I went out yesterday and I was going to fill the diesel and my
regular gas tank and ran into a problem?
My bird is 33 foot long and it has a Diesel engine and a gas
generator and there for I have two tanks.
I filled the diesel tank up but when I went to fill the gas tank up I
could not get the pump hose into the proper location to fill up the
tank. I have a lockable door that opens and the fill pipe is located
inside and below that door. I cannot get the nozzel to fit on the
pipe tight and part of the fuel that I was pumping just ran over the
side of the gas tank pipe opening. I think this is because of the new
type of nozzels used today have a rubber seat on them and I can not
get this into the location of this fill pipe. Anybody have this same
problem?
I can always fill by using a 5 gallon fuel can but does anyone know

See if a muffler shop can bend/fabricate a piece of steel
pipe to act as an extension tube you could fit into the opening
and then put the fuel filler nozzle in the extension tube.

I know other BB owners that have this same configuration of diesel coach
engine and gas generator and they are not having this problem. Why not take
a picture of your filler tube and post it on the forum for us to see.

Jon, How about a piece of plastic hose which fits on tho the pump
nosle? Just do't drop it in to the tank.

How about a piece of 1 1/2" pvc that would fit below the cap, but could be
pulled up for an extension. The nozzle weight should hold it in place while
filling.

Does anyone here have a problem with fueling up there 31 or 33 foot Wanderlodges
as far as the gas goes? Just wondering as I posted something today about that I
have trouble placing the fuel nozzel in place to refill gas tank.
