I am on vacation in Louisiana. The water in fuel light keeps coming on. I have
changed the fuel filter at the motor numerous times. However, I cannot seem to
find the Raycor filter in order to drain it. My sons do most of the maintenance
on my Bird for me and they are not along on the trip. If anyone knows the
location of the filter please let me know as I am pretty well stranded until I
find it.
Thanks in advance,

Bob,

It is probably not from the racor. The 'water in fuel' light is usually set off by a sensor in a drain sump on the main fuel tank (at least on the PT models). There should be a petcock to drain off the water in the center bottom of the fuel tank sump. I usually park the bus over a low spot on the ground and then get under it with a can or bottle and drain off a few ounces until clear fuel appears. It doesn't take much condensation to set off that sensor. Thus, it should not be a 'stranding' event since a very few ounces in the bottom of the sump can set off the alarm, so it can wait until you get home..

Hope this helps,

Bob,
The Racor filter on your 87FC is located in the right rear compartment with the
propane tank.
Open the compartment door and you will see it on the left side.
