Took the top half apart to check roof mounted spotlight problems, but attempted
to get to gearing in lower half and had no luck (screwheads spun freely. Do I
actually have to get at this thing from inside the coach? It apears that I'd
have to take apart a good portion of the roof headliner to do it.......any
suggestions? Again, thanks in advance for valued input.

Steve not sure I'm the Rob you're think of but I have taken my spot light apart partially. Mine didn't work (no rotation) I removed the top half and pulled the little motor with nylon gears out. I carefully opened it up and found it was the little motor which was frozen. I WD 40 the motor, lubed it and put some new grease in the gears. It works now. The rubber seal between the two halves had failed allowing moisture it so since a new seal was probably not available I goopuckied the halves together with some black butyl as a seal. I don't see any moisture on the inside of the lens so I guess that's holding. Used the spot light last night so still working after this repair 3 years ago.Â

Thanks Rob, I'll take that little motor out and now I know that the gears are
under there, I should be good. Thanks again for your help.
