Hi!

Before I tear apart the water heater and nearby plumbing thought I would ask if anyone has knowledge that might help with this:

There are two approx 1/2" hoses that drop down from the plate behind the radiator about 18" forward or our rear bumper. One of them is dripping what seems to be hot water. I see no sign of seepage anywhere on the plate above or in the water heater compartment, and the water is flowing inside the hose, not on the outside. I'm guessing there is a valve on the water heater, which is located above this hose, that's leaking. Any idea where to start?

We have schematics for pretty much every system on the bus except the potable water. It was listed in the blue book but seems to be missing. Anyone have
this?

could be the emergency blow-off valve ?, if the hose leads to a free opening.
If it is a e-valve leak it could imply that the valve was exercised/then hung
open a bit and there WAS an overheat issue in the tank??
the hose has two ends, I would follow both. if yo get to a location that you can
only feel for a leak, use a handfull of blue toilet paper to touch the pipes
then look for a darker wet spot

That should be the PTR valve from the water heater.Â On my '87 pt40 it leaks a few drips when using the engine to heat the water, stops when using the electric heater.
Check for leaks from the water heater by looking in the access panels behind the bed on the drivers side.
