Hi Dan,

I checked my BB, and I have the R8560 Manual, and an accompanying cookbook
and plastic covered cooking guide. From looking over the cookbook, it looks
like there is a "high" and "low" mode in the micro/convection mode. The low
is for browning breads etc, and the high is for longer cooking times like for
poultry, roasts, etc. Maybe it's sensing the "low" mode, so the food doesn't
get too brown??

If you promise and cross your heart, I'll send you all the stuff in the mail
that I have on the microwave and feel free to copy it, then send it back
when you're done. I'll need your San Marcos address.

Let me know....

I have an 86PT 40 with this microwave in it. ( At least that is the number I
have been given.
Does anyone know if this correct for the 86PT40?) We have no manual for this
model. I
have a R8350 manual, but it is slightly different. I was told by Sharp to get
the proper unit
manual as some differences apply.

When in the convection mode the unit will stop at 3-5 minute intervals when
cooking
times of more than this amount of minutes is programmed. Anyone know what the
problem might be?
