Yesterday here at Ft. DeSoto Campground outside of St. Petersburg, Fla, we had a
M380 in one of our sites.
He pulled into his site the wrong way...should have backed in, but managed to
pull in forward instead.
When it came time to leave, he had to back around a tree branch and couldn't
seem to make it. Buried his front axle and tires turning it back and forth.
Had to get shovels to dig his front out.
By then, he was so pissed, he gunned it in reverse and rubbed the drivers side
almost all the way down near the top on the tree.
Was a pretty bird. The guys name was Lopez from Fla. Appears to be in his late
40's.
Didn't get to have a conversation with him with his problems.
Anybody know him?

My first reaction when I read your post about scratching the M380 was "...what a
lousy driver." Then I thought about how hard it is to maneuver the beast in the
best of conditions. I thought about having one of your wheels buried and trying
to maneuver. I understand his frustration. I am happy not to have a temper
that would cause me to create thousands of dollars in damage because I'm PO'ed.

the best help you can give someone that is in this persons state of mind and
situation is to distract. I would have done anything possible to get him out of
the bus. yell 'fire' or 'flat tire' or 'is that your wallet under the bus?'.
Once out, change the subject 3 times until the persons breathing rate reduces.
when the person is calm, ask onlookers to mind their own business then give
driver advice. The fact that this post made it to the forum is an example of
how exciting it was for the onlooker to watch the demise of an individal and do
nothing all the while it escallated. more reveling than the crowd driven
testosterone reaction of the driver
