I would like to put a patio awning back onto my FC. The original is long gone
but from the arm mounting hardware it looks to have been in the 22' range in
length. Is Zip Dee my only option? Will off the rack awnings work? Where might
I find a used Zip Dee? If anyone has used I would also like the curbside bedroom
awning. Roadside awnings are all in great shape. Thanks to all for any
information that may be forthcoming.

Zip Dee is the only option as far as I am concerned. A&E is not worth the
money. The other option is a motorized awning, but your talking far above
Zip Dee pricing with that. Also Zip Dee has a longer proven track record of
being there when needed.

The originals on the FC's mid 80's was 23 feet. Problem with that was and
is, it would bow in the center unless a center support was installed. The
manual travel locks also never had a Zip Dee balloon out on the road and
become a sail.

I have an 81fc35 and would not hesitate putting the zip dee back on. They
are very reasonable. I have had to replace the hardware on mine after
foulishly leaving it up when I should have put it away.
