Howdy.
Ordered a new frig from CW, Jack took Bird in to have new frig installed. Jack is on his way back WITHOUT new frig installed. The installation techs said they couldn't get old frig out. There was not enough room to rotate it, whatever that means. Can you BELIEVE that? İmage İmage İmage

Almost 4 weeks without a working frig!!!!

Ideas, recommendations?

Might be cheaper to find a bus on ebay with a working fridge.

I am assuming that you have the fridge out of its space, but cant get it out of
the coach. Not sure what the clearences are on your unit, but I have heard of
some that will remove the windshield, and pass the old/new unit thru there...
A glass guy can do the R&R easily, but might have to use a new rubber seal..

I took my double door out of a 93 pt40 a few years back. Strip all doors etc off

O I forgot to add. If you have the very large frig which has the water and ice
dispensers and is all electric this is another issue. If you have this one the
windshield has to be removed. This is not a big deal for a good body man and
usually the seals will be reusable. Bob ..birdless, Illinois

Perhaps if they took the door of the fridge off first, they could then get it out.

I believe they said there was not enough room to rotate it. Which, in my mind, means that they can't get it out of the galley, not thru the door. This is surprising, because I thought for sure that the factory always calculated enough isle space, etc. for fridge replacement on all models/floorplans, but it's possible that this time they didn't. It could've been something like the coach was ordered with a particular upgrade model of fridge (or gally layout) and, even thought the factory told the customer it would be a huge hassle to replace one day, they ordered it that anyway? Or some similar story. I would bet they may in fact have to cut it or part of the cabinetry to remove/replace it. Bummer. This will be interesting to see how it comes out (pun intended)!
