I crossed in 2007 toad in tow, shortly before the bypass was finished. It's a
slow, windy decent and ascent to the top of the dam, and while passengers may
enjoy the route, it's not a whole lot of benefit to the driver. The HS guards
give you a short stop on top of the dam while they do their inspection, but what
a better place to get stopped if you had nefarious intentions?

be a quote of the signs seen on I-40 as you pass through Kingman. I looked for a
Google pic of one of the signs that might include RVs but didn't find it; lots
of pictures saying no Bus/Truck and giving a toll-free number to call for
current info (888 248-1259). The "no" is a generality, easier for them than
putting all of the rules on a roadside sign. In practice there are prohibitions
and allowances in all three categories (RV, Bus, Truck).

motorhomes (RVs). Passenger busses with luggage, e.g. Greyhounds, are
prohibited. Passenger busses with no luggage, e.g. day tours, are allowed. Semi
truck/trailers prohibited, bobtails allowed.

but what I would have to hear is that they've actually done this with a
motorhome, and just exactly what the driver or passenger(s) did or said prior to
being turned away.

Hi There:

For many of you, boondocking and free overnight sites are of interest to you.
Well the campingtipsgroup is helping to solve this problem. There has
been a start in developing in each state file a section called: Boondocking-
overnight sites. This section includes overnight sites in Wal Mart, Flying
J, Pilot, Sams, BJ's, Costco, other truck stops, rest areas and other
sites in that state. In addition, this file includes boondocking information:
on county, state, federal-national forest, BLM, COE and other public
places.
Thus far, the states of California, New Mexico, Oregon, Washington,
Idaho, Montans and Nevada.
This does mean that other states do not have this information, IT DOES.
However, the organization of the file has been rearranged. I
In addition, Popular sites has been added: like the San Diego, New York
City, Glacier National Park to name 3 of the 15 completed. Lastly,
the boondocking-overnight has been made into a separate file for thos
that would like a smaller, easier to handle piece of work
