Check out the newest photo album, added to BlueBirdZoom, the Picasa photo slideshow site that is just for the 'Birds:

It is Blue Thunder! The coach with about as many dishes on the roof, as in the galley!

...then give your coach it's 15 minutes of fame too, by clicking around
in your photo folders, and sending in a few snapshots of your 'Bird.

Hi Fred,
Looks like I screwed up.
Ended up making my own Picasa album.
How can I move it over to your site?

Bob,

Is it just me, or do I just not understand why we are further fragmenting the BB
community by starting another photo site when we have a 100GB of photo storage
here on the forum that is hardy used at all? You can look at the photos in
medium size, large or original size.

No problem, Mike.
Looks like I put them under the wrong Picasa site anyways.
Didn't know we could post pics of our travels on this photo storage. Just
thought it was for projects only.

Bob, that's great that you made an
album for your `bird! I'd love to see it. You should add the url to your
signature so that everyone can check it out, and when they read a post of yours
discussing some aspect of your coach, they can instantly click thru and see or
remember just what it's like. You can leave it on your picasa page along with
your other family photo albums, and we can just duplicate your `bird one onto
the bluebirdzoom site. Then you can decide which link to include in a
signature. Your personal one for your family/friends email (as if any of us
have any friends outside the BB community!?), and the one to your bbzoom album
when you're on the forum(s).

The idea of compiling everyone's
albums together is to create a vast collection many many Blue Birds in
condensed photo albums, of hi-res picts that show off the positive aspects of
the coaches. And present a more general description of the coach, not photos of
a broken part, looking for help identifying it, or even snapshots of last
weeks' rally, since the forums already serve that purpose very well. But more
an emphasis on polished coaches, road ready, posed for photos, and celebrating
the positive side of life with these glorious machines. Some with a beautiful
sunset behind, some with people sitting, eating, drinking, laughing, and also
some close ups of some of the many wonderful details that make a BB so
terrific, including upgrades and projects, but finished, successful
enhancements, shown after they're done, using the few best shots that show the
steps taken to complete them, and not all of the technical info added on
exactly how to do it. Not to gloss over or hide the fact that these vehicles
need maintenance, and that this all takes a lot of work, but just a place to go
to relax and enjoy all the best stuff the hobby provides, in just a couple
dozen or so picts that gives a synopsis of what that coach is like. And then to
be able to add the (fairly short and easy to remember) link to your album, onto
your signature you use in the forums, and sometimes in emailing friends and
family. Forum photo features can't do this, because they require membership,
and besides, they are nowhere near as powerful and pleasant to use as Picasa.

Another goal of this feature is to
be absolutely inclusive of anything that says Blue Bird on it, and can be
universally attended by every BB owner no matter what particular forum(s) they
may hang out on the most. Like Vintage Birds, this will be an open resource for
all to see. No sign up or membership is needed to view, leave comments, or even
submit photos for posting. Wannabes welcome. Let's show off a bit, and maybe
it'll even help increase the value of our coaches! We've known our coaches are
special, vintage treasures, but now with the BB factory closed, they are now
officially collectable, unique, rare, and de-facto, more valuable. We should be
aware that with several of the high-end coach makers closing, that once the
economy recovers a bit, our classic `Birds will be in demand as people seek out
high end RV's again, and yet hardly any new ones will be available! So let's
have, by then, a great place for a potential coach buyer (weighing BB vs SOB),
to see just what it is that we are so fanatical about. But mostly it will be a
wonderful place we can go, to see what the other members of our BB Family have
done, get ideas on what we can do, and to live vicariously when we're unable to
get out and play with our coaches!
