I recently purchased a Honda 3000 generator to useas an auxiliary to the one on my Wanderlodge and it's giving me nothing but grief. Hopefully, one of you can help me figure it out. A couple of years ago I purchase and installed a power management system along with some others in this group and it doesn'tseem tolike the Honda because of its floating ground. By turning the power management system off I thought it would work, but it doesn't.I can't rule out a problem with the Honda, of course, but it's brand new and should be working. It's almost likeit just doesn't like the Wanderlodge wiring, and that's too bad since I like it just fine. Have any of you ever had this problem and if so could you please let me know what you did?

Hi Joyce & Richard,

I'm no help with the Honda Gen., just want to say it's good to hear from you. I'm assuming you are heading back to Washington. It was nice to spend some time with you folks at Q 2009. Drive safe, and we'll see you down the road.

How much time are you spending in the Lake Havasu City area?

Hi Curt,
We, also, enjoyed the time we spent with you in Quartzsite and hope to see you there in 2010. Yes, we are slowly heading back home now and will leave the Havasu area in the morning. Not sure where we'll be tomorrow nightbut probably somewhere in the Barstow area. Hope you have a wonderful summer - for us we know that this will be a better year. Thanks again for all your support this past one.
Best regards,

Richard, could it be what we touched on yesterday with the transfer switch and
relays that un-bond and true-bond the neutral -ground? I would contact Mario's
inverter / genset guy in Gilbert Arizona ?????? he seems like a problem solver.
the Hondas inverter/generators I undersand to be a dc alternator that passes
the lower voltage thru a built in inverter then to the 120 output. where as a
big generator makes 120 volts per leg from the genhead????

You could rule out the honda having performance out of the box issues by having
the dealer hook up a new Honda unit to test if it duplicates the failure. It
should be fit for use and their dealers should prove it fit for use advertised.

Contact Chet Pinto http://www.trupower.com/contact/contact.htm with a question.
Great knowledgable guy. He can direct you to an answer.
