Al Scudder

Any one have a good spot to camp around Washigton, Pennsiyvania, I am visiting friends in just north of there in a few weeks any suggestions.

Not too much around there. Did you check out the KOA near the intersection of
I70 and I79?

Al- Raccoon Creek State Park has camping. Check out

Not sure what sizes they can accomodate or what services they have- but it
should be quiet this time of year. It would be about 20 mins north of
Washington.

Guys
The drive from Washington to Racoon State park is a narrow and very hilly road.
It is not overly steep, but you should plan about an hour + for the trip. I
live about 30 minutes from racoon park and they have a short but VERY steep
entrance. The campground is nice enough but most sites are for smaller rigs. I
remember some are dry camping and about half are electric. Can't recall water.
If I was you, I stick with Wash. I-79/70 KOA. Its close and where you want to
go.
Motorhome wise, I am about 2 hours from Washington.

Scooter,

We just passed through Washington and Pittsburgh, We stayed two days at the only
Camp ground open the KOA Washington, 800-562-0254.
There is also Buttercup Woodlands,open after 4/15, in Butler north of
Pittsburgh. 724-789-9340.
Then we toad around to visit the relatives.
