My apologies, I think there was one of those "what about parts, now?" threads somewhere in there and I was speaking sort of in relation to that.
The existing cracks and chips in my windshields are in the bottom couple inches, so I really don't even notice them for now. It's good to hear the glass is common with the school bus platform.
