Ed, here is the link to previous thread on the two issues you are
addressing. read entire thread as first repair ws not the fix

I would not rely on the 40 foot of thin wire running the entire bus.
I fixed the fuse but added a good source of power to the ignition from
under the front pannel. prob is you can now start the bus from the
cockpit when it shows choice of only rear start. I dont have the guts
to stand behind the bus and start it anyway.

Petes road service Corona is a good place to do tires. they have an
alignment shop and that will keep the powersteering from heating up
the fluid as you strain the pump to keep the wheels straight. Most
folks replace their ps pumps when they boil over thinking generation
of pressure is the issue when it is usuly excessive/continual demand
of pressure which causes hot psf.
when you drop the tires I will buy the old ones as I use them up in 8
months on my dump truck rear.
