Hey folks,
I just bought a 1993. I lurked for a long long time while working
overseas awaiting the day we could get one, starting shortly after
Ernie and Bruce began the Yahoo Group. Finally the time has come to
get it, and we are all smiles. Will take possession of it within the
next three weeks or so.

We live just outside of Knoxville, but I am currently working in
Houston and will probably bring it here for a while if I can find a
reasonable campground or place to park it.

Marilyn and I can't wait to meet up with some of you folks; and Sadie
too (guess that blows saying "no smoke, no pet coach" if we sell
it). Like has been said before, it is the forums that have given me
the confidence to jump in head first into these beautiful machines.
So thanks in advance for answering my dumb questions.

Congratulations Rick & Marilyn!

Since you are working in Houston, plan on joining us at a Lone Star
Birds Rally. There is one this month in Louisiana for Mardi Gras
hosted by Steve and Pat Gureasko (Feb.20-22,2009 at the Coushatta
Casino Resort in Kinder Louisiana. Call 888-774-7263 ask for the
Bluebird Rally. The rate is $24 per night with a discount for certain
RV cards.)

The next one is in April in Marble Falls in the Hill Country of Texas
hosted by Eric and Maryann Johnson. (April 17,18,19 at the Sunset
Point RV Resort located on Lake LBJ just West of the historic Texas
town of Marble Falls. To make a reservation, call (830) 798-8199 and
tell them you are with the Lone Star Birds Rally so that you receive
the rally rates.)

Hope to see you soon.

Congratulations Rick and Marilyn on your '93 Wanderlodge. Hope you
have great travels. You will definitely want to meet some of these
folks. Also join the Family Motor Coach Association and attend some
of the regional rallies they have.

Thanks to everyone for the hospitality and suggestions. Can't do the
Louisiana rally Mike, but the April rally date is perfect and I will
call tomorrow for reservations. Do I need to let Eric and Maryanne
know directly?

Congrats on your new Bird!

Can you post some pictures for us to see?

Thanks Nate. No pics yet, and won't pick it up for a couple or three
weeks. It is the 1993 that Randy Dupree owned, and there are still
pics on his BuyByeBluebird.com website. He is replacing the big
fridge for us, and apparently has already finished doing that.
Amazing what one can do with a good plan, good muscle/help/equip
available, and good knowledge of Birds like he has.
