Ihave had a TPS warning a couple times on my Pro-Driver display and the accelerator will shut down for a second or two and then resume, looking up some troubleshooting info on the web,it seems the connectors need cleaning before just replacing the TPS switch.I have an idea what it looks like, But:
Problem I have right now is: Where is it??

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Hi Greg
Thank you for the links.
I forget to think about Heavy Duty and think only in terms of automotive design and find myself looking in the wrong place for this sort of thing.
Heck it was under my foot and wasn't thinking that way.I will try and trace the wire loom and see where the connection is and go from there.
We are going to have a party for the girls later this weekend.
Thank you for thinking of them, you guys are a favorite of theirs.

Greg
Thanks for helping me find the TPS not under my nose, but under my Foot!!
Crazy
I found ond terminal in one of the canon plugs a little corroded ( well, a lot corroded for a small pin like they have in there)
I hope that was it,and will check it out soon.
Thanks again

TPS errors are one of two things bad tps or the connections. tps is a
user input devise not a device that gets a prompted by one other
occurance like the turbo speed. I have read where the tps needs to be
run all the way out and to rest to reset????
turn key on ;dont start ;once the engine ddec diagnostics
pass ;slowly push the throttle to full open ;then slowly let throttle
return to rest ;turn the key off then start. I have no idea but it is
on the dodge forums and folks say it works?????

Fred OfFred&Jeanne,
The codes only give clues to problems. a turbo speed error/code clues
that the turbo speed is wrong relative to some other reading like the
fuel consumption over the rpm. turbo could be spinning to slow because
the exhaust has a hole or bearing is out in the turbo???? and could be
that the turbo speed reading device is not faulty.
I cant imagine a clue the Throttle Position Sensor (tps) code would
prompt other than the device or its connection is faulty???? TPS is a
input message to both the engine and transmission on a Dodge cummins I
wonder if in the Wanderlodge it also shows values to the Allison Trans
Modual for proper shifting ?????
