Barbara and I will be on the road for about six months starting in June. We
will be staying mostly in one or two campgrounds for extended periods. How do
those of you that have traveled extensivly receive your mail? I have looked at
the USPS mail forwarding and don't see why it would not work. I also see all of
the other rv mail forwarding services and just wanted som input from those of

We use Escapees Mail Service. Depending on what level you choose (We use level
3)it can cost 90-125 per year.
Our level 3 means we can call, review our mail over the phone, decide what mail
we want forwarded to us. All first class mail has to be sent, but mags or any
other mail can not be sent if you don't want it to.
You put at least $50 bucks in postage with them and they send it to where ever
you want.
We have used them for over 6 years now with no problems.

Thanks guys. Those are the two services I hear the most about. I had wondered
about just using the USPS forwarding service but haven't really found anyone who

FMCA has some financial problems with mail forwarding right now. They may have
solved them - not sure.

USPS is best at one time permanent mail forwarding. If a small town, temp
forward may work OK. When I was a mail carrier in Albuqueque it was NOT a thing
I would choose to do. Too many different carriers filling in on routes - temp
forwards messed up - mail delivered to old address.

All three have a good rep. I use the first one as a full timer - but the other
2 are very good also.

If you want one which scans your mail and you can look at it on the web before
you have it sent out, check out SBI mail forwarding in Green Cove Springs, FL.
You can also select hold, or shred. They forward packages also.

If you get a letter and you can't tell who it's from or what's inside, they will
open it and scan the contents for 50 cents extra.

We've had them for over 2 years and really like the service.
