I looked in the little bit of documentation I have and searched this
forum on bulk oil.
Can someone please explain how the bulk oil system works and where the
tank (and fill) are located?
Thanks,

Gary,
On my coach88 WLWL the bulk oil tank in at the rear curbside Starboard of the coach. It is a switchable pressurized tank that has a dispenser with a hand held wand. it has a meter that keeps track of oil dispersed. Great option.

On my 83 Fc the tank is in the LP Compartment just forward of the door.
My understanding of the the system is this.
When you need to fill engine oil you flip a lever on the tank that will put pressure from the air system into the oil tank.
Then you go to the engine and dial up how much oil you wish to add, then squeeze the trigger and it will dispense that much oil though the hand wand.
I am very new at this, but that is the way I understand it to work
thx
John

Thanks,
That's what I needed. Perfect except there is no lever on the tank.

It's an electric toggle switch..and I think it's there in the engine. It might even have an indicator light on the switch panel. You need to have the engine off..but have plenty of air pressure built up at the time.

Gary,
There are 2 switches on my 84FC. One on the right side lower dash and
the other is under the engine doghouse left side mounted on the bracket
that holds the dial where you select the amount of oil to be dispensed.

Hey Gary,
http://www.ryanwright.com/tmp/eng-gauge1.jpg
This is my '86 PT-40. Not sure if yours would be setup similarly or
not, but the blue gauge on the right is the bulk oil fill gauge. This
tells you how much oil you've dispensed. The on/off switch is right
there immediately by the gauge, upper left side of it. That energizes
a solenoid to send air pressure into the tank. No air pressure = no
bulk oil filling.
As others said this is, indeed, a very nice option. It ensures I have
plenty of oil on board for just about any situation I might encounter,
which is nice since the right type of oil for my 8V92, Delo 100 40wt,
is difficult to find and I have to special order by the case. If I'm
in the middle of nowhere and need oil, I have it. I actually do my oil
changes right out of this tank, then fill the tank back up with fresh
oil. This keeps the oil in the tank from getting too old and it's
easier to add oil with that handy little dispensing wand vs. right out
of the 1 gallon jugs.

I am a little behind on this, but this bulk oil conversation brings up the
question. Would an 81fc have this bulk oil system and if so how would i
know?
