This is for an 1984 FC35.

We have a slight steering fluid leak and need to check/add fluid.

What is the easiest access to the reservoir?

Should be under the doghouse, right on top pf the engine. Round
reservoir with conical top and dipstick.

Gary,
I used to have similar problem with my 83 FC, you may considder
creating a vent in the Reservoir lid to eliviate some pressure while
your at it.

Power steering systems on FC's are a problem. I have a thread and pictures (here I think but also over on the FC group) explaining how to upgrade the hoses, insulate them, add a cooler and enlarge the reservoir. Fluid runs too hot on the original system. I was able to reduce fluid temperatures by about 100 degrees with the changes I made.

My reservoir looks different and is loacted differently than your
pictures but the combination of the descriptions and your pictures
gave me the confidence to throw power steering fluid into it.

The squeeling has almost stopped.

What FC group? Where?

Regards,
GPSGary
