Has anyone found the direct replacement for the electric heaters
found in the Galley, Salon and Bedroom?
Am familiar with the Cadet PerfectToe. I've replaced a few in the
Prevost coaches. The PerfectToe heaters have not been tested and are
NOT recommended for Vertical installations such as those in the
Bedroom and Galley heaters in 80's Birds.
Have researched the forum and read Dayton and Fasco names, but have
not been able to find correct heaters by these companies.
My heaters have been cleaned and they still operate, though with
little air movement and limited high thermostat settings.
Would like to just buy 3 new heaters to replace the originals and be
done, not buying pieces and parts to recondition them. But will if
thats the best answer ;~}

Just got done replacing the bedroom and kitchen heaters with new
Cadet Perfectoe heaters.
When I pulled the old ones out, they had stamped on them "No for
vertical installation".
Figured if old ones could be vertical, new ones could also.
New ones are smaller, so had to modify openings.

Nope, and I spent a good deal of time last year searching, too. My
heaters move enough air but also have limited high thermostat settings
which drives me to supplement with LP during the hard cold of winter.
I've been considering installing an automation controller, replacing
all heat & air thermostats with relays and temperature sensors, and
controlling HVAC throughout the entire bus from a small touchpanel.
This would allow me to set the heaters to any temperature and give me
a single control point. Unfortunately it also requires a lot of time
disassembling panels and running wires throughout the coach, which is
why I've not done it yet.
One thing you're going to notice, and the reason I gave up my search
for new heaters, is that nobody makes a 20 amp 120 volt toe heater
anymore. Your existing heaters are 20 amps a pop and the extra power
is nice on a cold winter night. So even if you do find something that
fits, it's not going to put out as much heat.
If someone does happen to find 20 amp heaters that fit, they're going
to sell a bunch of 'em.

These heaters are not as wide as the ones in my coach, 17 3/4" but
they might work for you.
