I purchased some new Hella landing lights and when I tried to
unbolt the brackets that hold the lights in place, 5 of the
alum studs broke off. I saturated the studs with penetrant but
they still broke off. I managed to get the plates with the
broken studs off the coach but I can't press the studs out.
Does anyone offer a replacement part or a repair service?

Are they 1.5" wide painted rectangular close out plates? If so and you cannot find new ones you should be able to attach then with NP-1 caulk. If the plate actually holds the light housing you may need to mount the light housing with counter sink screws then attach the panel and hope never to change the lights again. I mounted every piece of polished stainless on my coach with NP-1 and Weldwood Contact cement.. It's been there 3 years and has not moved.
Just a thought.

The problem isn't attaching them to the coach, the problem is that
there are 4 studs protruding from the backside of the plates to
which channel brackets get attached. When the nuts on the studs are
tightened, the brackets push the light into the opening and
at the same time hold the plate firmly against the coach.

The opening in the "close-out" plates for the landing lights is not
the same size as the light itself (it is smaller), my new question is,
how far should the reflector extend through the opening and is there
supposed to be a gasket other than the one on the reflector between the
light and the plate?
