Scott, I had a roof air electric motor go out as you describe. These are common motors and any well known electric motor shop- like Graingers , as Bob loomas said,can duplicate it. I believe it was around a hundred bucks. The motor has a few wires, and as Ralph suggested, get some numbers you can stick on those wires.

My coach has all three original roof airs. When the plastic cowl is
removed on the roof, there is a small electric motor that is connected
to a shaft that turns the fan that blows air over the coils. On one of
my units, that shaft corroded to the point that it finally broke off
right at the fan hub. As a result, the A/C will no longer cool. One
of my other units has the same problem developing, as it appears that
its shaft may break off soon (getting thin).

My question is...is there a part I can replace? The motor spins fine,
can the shaft be removed from the motor and replaced? Or, if not, can
the motor/shaft assembly be replaced? Or am I looking at replacing 2
A/C's?

These are "Penguin" (low profile) units by Duo-Therm. Must be a
source of parts out there somewhere.

I replaced two of my three roof-airs with "high efficiency" Duo-Therm
units. These don't have the low profile (but my King Dome sticks up
higher anyway) -- however they only draw 10 amps instead of 14.5 as
the originals with the same rated BTUs. Got'em on sale at Camping
World over a year ago.

Scott, if memory serves me, probably not, but there should be an allen wrench set screw on that squirrel cage.

There is a squirrel cage fan on the other shaft...how do I get that
off? I opened up the unit, not much access...
