Scott,
Check the battery grounds, both at the batteries and the frame.

Subject: [WanderlodgeForum] 8v92 will not crank
My bus will not crank. Batteries are fine, when I turn the key,
nothing. Battery gauges do not drop like they normally do when key is
turned to 'start'. Just drove the bus 2 days ago with no problems.
I suspect a loose/corroded connection, where should I begin looking?
Where is the starter solenoid?

Scott, I don't think I had a key for that switch, either- but it was a wire that had come apart that stranded me in that switch.

Scott, Gregg may be on to something there. Check all grounds, engine and battery. I don't know about the 8V92, but my 8V71 solenoid is attached to the starter. I had a small wire,(not the cable) on the solenoid, that burned through and was hard to see and get to. I used a can of brake parts cleaner to remove the oil/sludge that had gathered in that area. Ha! Imagine a leaking Detroit. That solved my problem. You also may have a bad solenoid, or a starter gone bad. Ck. to see if you have power at the solenoid, and jump across if the former suggestions don't work. Good Luck, and hope you don't have to pull it. They are very heavy, and tough to get at. Will it start from the rear starting position? Another possibility
is the starter neutral switch.
This is a shot in the dark. I had fueled up my PT36 and it would not It
would not crank. I played with it for a couple hours sitting in the
fuel-up island. I was about to call a towing service. "I'll try one
more time".
I looked at the gear selecter and saw it was not in neutral!
You did check the A/T switch(anti theft switch)? That switch is in the
start ckt.
I hope your's is as simple.

It's in neautral. A/T is not switched. I do not have a key that
fits the rear ign switch.
When I went out this morning, the starter cranked initially, but
engine did not fire off. When I tried to crank again, it was dead.

Depending on symptoms, there could be a fault in the rear start switch as well (at least that's what I've heard).
My own experience with a non-starting engine eventually led to the ground strap on the back wall of the engine compartment. The bolt had worked loose just a little bit, but was not obvious. We (a road service employee) and I discovered it when trying to start from the rear switch while observing the engine area... a slight sparking gave the fault away.

Clean all your cable connections and then put a charger on the coach
for an hour. Try starting then. It will not start if the engine does
not spin at a good rate and it sounds like your batteries are down.
