I have two section in the front area headliner of the coach that requires attention. Well actually it needs to be fixed.
I had a water leak through the vent, which has been fixed, but the board which the headliner is on, is badly warped.
Has anyone done any repair on these, can I take it out and clean the vinyl and glue it onto another board, do I have to buy new??
Thanks

Hi Bill:
There are no new ones to be had and yes you can pull the ribbed fabric
off gently and re glue to a new beaver board. Here is the catch, the
original panels were 9 plus feet, and the new ones will be only 8 feet,
so a cut will need to be made below the line of the wire trace covers in
the back of the overhead cabinets. and you will need to drop your
cabinets but I would not drop then all the way. If I ever have to do
mine, I will pull the screws that hold the cabinets up one at a time and
put in a longer 3 inch screw so the longer hold the cabinet in place with
out dropping. Remember you have wires in the lower curve of the cabinet.
Just some thoughts. It is a hell of a job to do.

I believe Joe Losh did a repair on his. I think he used liquid nails around the affected area and then pushed it up with a 2x4.

Bill- there was a fella on ebay parting out a PT. Maybe if he still has items there, he might have a headliner?

Ernie:
Looking at the board, it has been wet for some time and with this board it now sort of falling apart. I think I will have to try to get it out of there and replace it best I can. The longer bolts will certainly help hold it up on the ends so I can work in the middle etc. Bill 84 FC 35 SB "$quanderlodge" Terrace, B.C. Canada ----- Original Message ----
