Hi group,
I plan on replacing my coolant with the green extended coolant sold by
truck dealers.
This doesn't require a 50/50 mix so was wondering about having to check
with test strips since not a mixture with water.
Just fill it to the brim and go?

Only if it is pre-charged with SCA's. That's what you are testing for.

Extended coolant that doesn't require mixing with water means it already IS
mixed with water, normally 50/50.
Doesn't matter whether it is Red or Green, concentrated (you mix with water), or
pre-mix, it's functionally the same as long as it meets the ratings. You want to
see TMC RP329, generaly, for a Detroit.
I use Zerex Extended Life, bought in concentrate and then mixed with distilled
water. I wouldn't mind if it was Ready-to-use (which Zerex makes), but my local
source doesn't carry it that way.
